Lactation consultations

As an IBCLC I also offer lactation consultations and assessments.

I offer one hour consultations. We can assess baby's oral anatomy, latch, milk transfer, weight gain, feeding schedules, breast concerns, and more.

If you gave birth with me as your midwife this is part of the routine postpartum care up to 6 weeks and there is a discounted fee for additional breastfeeding assessment and consultations after the first 6 weeks postpartum. As someone who struggled greatly with breastfeeding several of my children I deeply desire to support other mama’s through the challenges and concerns that arise with the breastfeeding relationship.

Having a baby within the comfort and safety of your home brings both dignity and strength not only to mother; also it involves the whole of family unity and community during the sacred journey of home birth.

Placenta Encapsilation

Many people report that placenta encapsulation helps to improve milk supply, mood, postpartum depression, and potentially improve iron levels.

If you are interested in this service I highly encourage you to follow “Evidence Based Birth” and listen to their podcast all about the evidence of placenta encapsulation.

I offer this service to my clients for $150.

If you are not my Midwifery client and are still wanting your placenta encapsulated the fee is $200 and the placenta can be dropped off at my office in McAlester or can meet at High Street Coffee in Eufaula for pick up.
